Anies Wants Mass Marriage to Become the DKI Provincial Government Agenda Every New Year

Berita hub. Jakarta - DKI Jakarta Governor Anies Baswedan wants to make mass marriages a routine agenda every new year's eve. Anies said that the mass marriage was benefited by the poor.

"Yes, of course it continues. From last year we first (talked) about going to hold this activity every year as part of the celebration. Alhamdulillah this year was done again," said Anies on Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta, Monday (31/12 / 2018).

Anies is grateful that mass marriages will increase every year. He also praised this year's mass marriage which runs more orderly and neat.

"In terms of more numbers, there are more interested parties. Neater, more orderly, the place is more flexible than last year. Alhamdulillah, we are grateful for the improvement," Anies said.

Anies said that the mass marriage program would be beneficial for Jakarta residents. He hopes his program can help citizens unable to get married legally.

"Many residents in Jakarta do not have a marriage book, family card, because they were married in the Shari'a already. But administratively the government has never been recorded. So we held ISBAT," said Anies.

This year, there were 557 mass married couples at Park and Ride Jalan MH Thamrin, Central Jakarta. KH Abdullah Gymnastiar (Aa Gym) became a lecturer in the mass marriage.
